Alexander Technique Teacher
Thai Yoga Massage Therapist
My name is Cécile Raynor. For about 30 years I have been teaching the Alexander Technique which is the best-kept secret of famous performers and Olympic artists. They swear by it because it allows them to perform at their highest potential with optimal safety.
Over the years, I have developed my own expression of the Alexander Technique which I call the Body Intelligence Activation Process™ or BIA Process™. In a nutshell, I teach people how to get out of their own way so as to relieve or prevent chronic tension or pain and avoid injuries. This is a mind-body-heart work that affects every aspect of life and brings about the peace and joy of wellbeing.
I also became a Thai Yoga therapist and a Reiki practitioner to offer a full spectrum of value to everyone.
My practice consists of private and group sessions, both in-person and online format. One of my specialties is teaching yogis and yoga teachers how to practice in an integrated way so they avoid common strain and injuries. Then, I was led to publish The Wise Way to Yoga in 2018.
So, out of my life experience personally and professionally, I have been inspiring and guiding people away from unnecessary tension and pain so they can dance the joy of wholeness.
All I love to do, from being in nature, meditating, dancing, drawing, painting, listening to music, gardening, hiking kayaking, traveling, and more, has informed my way of being and working. which is why I love my work and love the people I work with.:)
“The work I do with Cécile is awesome. I have noticed a clear change in my practice and in the way students in my class respond to my instructions.“Chavi Bansal

“It is often the case that people perpetuate certain areas of tension when practicing yoga. Cécile’s skill in bringing awareness to this, and working on finding the way to have the minimal appropriate level of tension in any posture is both appreciated and admirable.“Jovielle Gers
Experienced Yoga Teacher (15 years experience) – Jamaica Plain, MA
“As a yoga teacher, I have relished the “back to basics” movement awareness that Cécile brings through her expertise as an experienced Alexander technique instructor. This learning to “undo” our habituated patterns of movement and posture are invaluable to all yogis, and can only lead us towards greater fluidity of movement/spirit! I strongly recommend Cecile’s work.Ed Stern
